Charlotte, babysitting in Chatham

My name is Charlotte and I am 17 years old, I am coming towards the end of my apprenticeship in child care and I will be gaining a Skillsfirst Level 2 Certificate for the Children and Young People's Workforce (QCF) at the end of July. I am free most evenings and weekends and I am looking for a part-time job over the summer before I start my degree in Primary Education and throughout my studies.

I have experience working with all ages up to the age of 5 - I currently work in the Toddler Room at my nursery. However, 6 months prior to this I worked in the Pre-School room. I am confident with handling babies and young children as I have had experience with them for many months! I love working with children of all ages! I am currently arranging a placement one day a week in a Primary School, so it would be great if I could help children with their homework and reading tasks.

I am a dedicated, trustworthy person and I will ensure that your child will be in good hands at all times, I follow the rules and understand safety procedures such as fire evacuation, basic food handling and basic first aid.

I love cooking, baking and reading. I am picking up my skills in playing the piano - a few years ago I started playing and achieved my Grade 1! I am very creative and I frequently run activities at nursery making play dough, gloop, painting pictures, cutting and sticking and due to this I have an insight into what the children enjoy doing! I also enjoy talking to children about their experiences and what they think about circumstances, it is extremely interesting and in some cases very funny to hear what children say about their families, friends and pets and I believe that everything children think is important and it is vital to give them the attention they deserve in order for them to develop and grow emotionally and intellectually.
