Hello, my name is Charlotte. I am 17 years old and studying AS Levels at a sixth form in Colchester. Currently I live in Essex in a small Village near to Maldon, Witham and Tiptree. I am also roughly 10 minutes from the A12 making access to places relatively easy. At the moment I do not obtain a driving license however am in the process of learning and hoping to have taken my test before August this year.
I have three younger sisters - 9, 11 and 15 , all of whom I live with and have been babysitting for about 5 years now. I have also babysat externally recently for a three year old female and regularly care for my cousins who are now 1 year and 5 years old.
In the future I hope to work with children , studying paediatric medicine or nursing at university and feel babysitting is a great way to earn experience but also do something that I enjoy and helps others who need someone to care for their child(ren). Currently I do not have a First Aid certificate but have been defibrillator training which gave me a refresh in CPR training.
I have also attended a MHFA youth Lite course recently which trained me in mental health. If first aid is wanted I would be willing to take a first aid course if required to obtain a certificate but do still have knowledge on first aid procedures.
As an AS-level student i would be able to aid children in any homework they need help with and have 2xA*, 6 xA's and 3B's at GCSE grade. I regularly help my younger sisters with their homework and have a reasonable knowledge about the information they cover over primary and secondary years.
Another quality I have is the ability to cook and clean, both of which I am happy to partake in if required. I usually cook healthy and nutritious meals once a week for a family of 6 and help with all the housework including the washing and hoovering.
When babysitting I ensure all rules are followed including bedtime however do like to encourage the children to play games with me, read to me or particularly enjoy doing art and crafts with those i am babysitting. I also asks parents to leave me with emergency contact details so that I can ensure that I can contact you incase of emergency.
As I have just finished my exam season, so the hours I would be able to offer are more flexible however I am still at college until late July. During the school holidays I will be able to babysit whenever is required. I also do not have set hours (especially during the holidays) so can be used to babysit for as long or short as is required.
I hope this information gives you some idea of the type of childcare I offer and the experience I have. I feel that I am a bubbly, outgoing and trustworthy person who always puts the needs of others before my own. If you require any extra information about me please feel free to ask and I will try and respond as quickly as possible.
Thanks,
Charlotte
Occasional babysitting | $8.00 per hour |
I am very flexible with the rate I charge. It depends on how long I am needed for, my travel expenses and how much the parent/guardians are willing to pay. I would preferably like £7+ per hour as this covers my expenses but this can be changed to suit everyones needs and as I gain more professional experience.
