Alice, babysitting in Crawley

Hello, My name is Alice.
I am 17 years old and am a student who lives in Crawley. I currently study Health and Social Care level 3 at college, and have aspirations of one day becoming a Primary school teacher.
I adore children, I have a 10 week old niece who I am extremely close to and a 3 year old goddaughter who I see regularly. I feel like I am natural around children which is something which is very important to me.
I recently went to Ghana with a charity to volunteer to help out at a summer school for orphaned children aged from 1-16. I taught them basic Maths and English skills which was absolutely incredible, there was around 3 volunteers in a classroom who were responsible for 80 children. I was in charge of class 2 who were aged 5-11 years so they were all very enthusiastic and excitable but all so precious and grateful to take part in our lessons which made everything worth while. Doing this amazing trip has made me even more sure that perusing a career with children would be right for me.
Although I do not have experience being an official baby sitter I watch my godchild Betsy all the time, She is 3 and 1/2 years old and is full of laughter and constantly wants to get up and explore activities, this includes arts and crafts, making cards and drawings, playing with her endless dolls, reading or making up stories, doing puzzles and of course the more serious parts of caring for a child, giving her dinner, assisting her to use the toilet when necessary, cooking her dinner and putting her to bed.

I feel that I would make an exceptional babysitter because going to Ghana has made me a more confident person, I have a natural love of children and I would always have the best interest of the child at heart.
