Hi, my name's Caoimhe (pronounced keeva), I'm 18 years old and study religion, philosophy and ethics in Canterbury Christ Church University with the hopes of becoming a secondary school teacher.
I'm interested in caring for children and have a lot of voluntary experience as I've worked in a summer scheme for the past four years where we take children aged 4-11, this entailed playing with the children and supervising large groups I also cleaned up afterwards and made snacks. However I also have personal experience caring for babies and older children such as my siblings and cousins. I am also able to look after children with extra needs as I've volunteered in a scheme providing summer and weekend respite to people with disabilities. I have basic first aid training also. In my university I am paid to assist with school events one in particular involved helping the children aged 10 and 11 in English creative writing activities. I am also confident in helping the children I care for with their hopework. I am looking for flexible work preferably evenings and weekends although I am also free all day Monday and Friday.
