Danielle, babysitting - CT16 Whitfield

My name is Danielle and I am a mature 17 year old. I am currently studying early years educator level 3 at college and are coming to the end of my 1st year of a two year course.

Three days a week I have a placement within a local nursery where I have been working with children aged 2-4 years old. I help children with reading, writing and play, physical and emotional development as well as building their confidence and self help skills.

I am a young leader helping in brownies (aged 7-11) for the past 5 years now and am still loving it. I am working towards my adult leadership qualification which I am hoping to have by next year.

I am DBS checked and work part time doing children's parties at my local sports centre.

In addition to these responsibilities, I look after my cousins whose mum is a police officer. I used to pick them up regularly from school, do homework with them, play games like hairdressers, crafts or colouring, and take them to the park to get fresh air and exercise. I take them swimming occasionally and clubs that they attend.

I am very reliable and trustworthy. I have 100% attendance at college and within my placement. I also had exceptional attendance at my secondary school apart from dental appointments that could not be avoided. I am very understandable and appreciate constructive criticism and will try my best to act upon it.

I have a happy home life where I live with my parents and sister. My hobbies include reading, exercising, going to theme parks and I am currently learning to drive which I love.

I understand about the children's needs through different ages and about the needs of the parents in achieving this.

I am looking for extra work during evenings through the week or weekend to help finance my education further. I can occasionally help during the day at the weekend. I am also available during the day through school holidays.
