Andrea, babysitting in Auchnagatt AB41

My name is Andrea and I am currently in my sixth year at Ellon Academy. I am looking for any babysitting jobs out of school hours.
I am a hardworking, responsible, friendly individual.
I volunteer at a local primary school, which I'm still doing every Wednesday. I find it extremely rewarding to help the children with any work they are completing throughout their school day. Working closely with the children and teachers has improved my confidence greatly. During my work experience, I have been able to help the children with their English, Math and creative skills. While helping the children with reading skills I have been patient and helped them sound out words they found difficult. Through Math I have been able to help the children learn by suggesting different ways of helping them with numbers- I have even had the responsibility of playing Math games with them and teaching them how to use Math games on the iPads. While helping with the primary one class I was responsible for looking after the children using the toys to help them learn their basic maths and English skills. I enjoyed having the responsibility of supervising the children while they learned and I took part in various activities. Overall the volunteering has helped me gain experience and it has taught me valuable skills to help the kids improve their knowledge.
At school, I participate in our school's drama club. I believe this has benefited me in many ways. This group has greatly helped me improve my ability to work with others and my communicating skills. Now that I’m in the senior phase, I use these skills to help the junior pupils gain more confidence. I have been involved in school shows and enjoy participating as much as I can.
I believe I'm a creative person: I enjoy reading, drawing and playing my piano or listening to music in my spare time. I have been taking music lessons for over a year and will continue to. I also enjoy going to comic conventions with my friends; this takes a lot of time and effort to prepare for - sometimes involving travel and hotel costs as well but it’s something I'm dedicated to and cherish.
