Paula can provide references from recent employers
Paula completed a placement with me from September 2014 to February 2015 as a practical element of her childcare course undertaken at City of Bristol College. I found Paula to be an engaging and interesting person who quickly settled in helping me with my two children (aged 2 weeks old and 20 months old at the start of the placement.) She formed a good relationship with me and my children and was attentive to their needs, using good judgment and common sense. Paula is extremely easy to get on with and cheerfully turned her hand to many different tasks. She is a quick learner and is at ease carrying out instructions but can also work on her own, finding solutions to problems which arise. She had not spent much time with newborn babies before this placement but formed a great rapport with the baby, singing to him and playing with him. She was a natural with my toddler and thought of different games and craft activities to engage her whilst chatting to her and asking her questions. She helped provide a stimulating and exciting learning environment for her. Paula undertook such tasks as washing the children, preparing their food and dressing them. Paula has a keen interest in languages and this showed when she taught us Polish words and phrases. She is a patient and encouraging teacher and would be a great asset in an educational environment working with children. She regularly helped with playgroup set-up and interacted with other parents and their children there. I find her to be mature for her age and very kind and caring. I have no hesitation in recommending her to you.
