Hi, my name is Starr. I am a friendly, happy, 17 year old student and I am currently studying 3 A-levels at college.
I have quite a lot of experience as I regularly babysit my younger siblings, a boy aged 9 years and two girls both aged 6. I have also babysat for friends of relatives between the ages of 10 months old and 8 years old.
I have cooked for everyone I have babysat for, providing the specific food is given to me and I have also washed up after myself so there are no dirty pots left for the parents once they are home.
I have helped children with their homework, ranging from maths to reading to literacy and also creative projects. I once made a treasure chest with one girl I babysat during the holidays as it was her school project.
I have also tutored a young girl that was 8 at the time, as her Mother worked a lot and she was struggling at school.
I have GCSE's in Maths, English and Science at grade B, so any other homework at secondary school level I am also able to help with.
As long as it is okay with the parents, I can take the children out and about to parks, the beach etc. This helps the children to get out for a bit and is something I regularly do with my siblings. I can also bring activities such as arts and crafts for rainy days.
Overall, I love children and love to have fun and make sure they are always busy and have something to do. However, I also have discipline and if the parents have any rules such as bed by 9 or, electronic devices off by 7, then I will stick by this as I understand the need for discipline and routine.
I also have a recent DBS check that I can bring along with me. I did this through college just before Christmas as I do placement at a local school on a Friday morning.
I am available weekends- Friday evenings from 6pm, Saturdays all day and Sundays all day.
Thank you :)
Occasional babysitting | $5.00 per hour |
I would charge £5 an hour as this is am easy, rounded number to work with. However, minimum wage for my age, (17 years old) is £4. Therefore, if you would prefer to pay £4 an hour rather than £5 then that is something we can discuss.
