Hi! My name is Linda, I'm 25 years old, and I'm looking for more casual babysitting jobs or regular part-time opportunities as I'm completing my postgraduate course in Human Rights and International Politics at the University of Glasgow. My childcare experience consists of my Au Pair years in London, working for two families between 2018 and 2020.
In my first family, I was looking after a 7-year-old girl. My responsibilities consisted of school pick-ups and drop-offs, making packed lunches, snacks, and light dinners, some light cleaning duties, laundry and ironing, as well as entertaining her on a daily basis! We regularly spent time outdoors coming up with fun games which I would love to do again if given the opportunity.
In my second family, I looked after two boys aged 11 and 8. My duties were very similar to my first role, but in addition, I was responsible for taking the boys to their various hobbies and looking after them. Moreover, they loved playing board games and baking, so those were regular activities that we did together!
Overall, as a carer, I'm very empathetic, kind, and fun to be around. I love to immerse myself in the children's world and take part in the activities that they like to do. Although I am looking after the children, I also want to be their friend and form a relationship with them. However, I am also able to be serious, and safety is my number one priority. As the oldest sister myself with three brothers much younger than me, I understand the importance of wanting a reliable adult around your children who can ensure that they're always safe!
