Chloe, babysitting in Merthyr vale CF48

My name is Chloe I'm a 17 year old student in Merthyr college, currently studying level 3 children's care and learning development. I am looking for more of a part time care job as I am in college 3 days a week 9-4 and then work placement 2 days a week 9-3. I spend a lot of time taking care of my 7 year old sister who has aspergers, ADHD and mild autism, as well as occasionally helping my mother with my brother and sister who are both under the age of 1 year old. I have a double award in child care already from when I left school (2 B's) and I also have a B in Welsh second language so I am able to encourage young children to use Welsh as I do within work placement where I wot with 5-6 year olds. My qualities as a childcarer are that I am lively and am told to have a bubbly personality there for I can interact with children and young people, and ensure that they are active and having fun all through the day, I enjoy cooking so will have no problem preparing a meal for the child(ren). Within work placement in a primary school I have a lot of experience with working closely with a group of children with simple Maths, English, Welsh and even crafts and creative play. To help the children of ages 5-6 with Maths, subtraction for example, I use a technique where I am a fox and there are a certain amount of sheep in a field and if I was to come and take some how many would be left, this is a very effective way of teaching children and also works well with less able children as its a fun technique, I know with because I use this st home with my young sister who has learning difficulties.
