Alexia, babysitting in Scotforth LA1

Hello,

My name is Alexia, I am 19 and I come from Paris, France. I have always been very interested in travelling, discovering new places, new cultures and experiencing different things. My real interest in fashion and the will to increase my knowledge in the professions of Marketing led me to Lancaster, where I study Marketing and Management and find myself happy and fulfilled. I am really thankful for this opportunity, and the fact that my parents allow me to live and study here is amazing! They support everything I do and it makes me want to help them in a way, and become more independent, hence why I am looking for a job as a childcarer. I have always loved working with children. I have 2 brothers, one is older (22) and one is younger (14) and 8 younger cousins, between the age of 3 months old to 9 years old, that I get to see very often and I am always willing to take care of them or entertain them.
Back at home, I have worked many times as a babysitter with young children, especially with my neighbours' sons who are 18 months old, 3 and 11 years old, who I took care of for 2 and a half years. I like to be creative with children and role plays are my favourites! I have also always liked inventing stories and used to write a lot of them in a notebook that I would bring to children, so I that can read them some of the stories. Depending on the age of children, I also like to cook with them, especially deserts!
From May to July 2013, I assisted the Arts teacher of my former primary school with her class of year 6 pupils and this experience made me realise how much I like working with children.
My friends often describe me as creative, talkative, funny, responsible and enthousiastic. These are qualities that I think could be required for a childcarer. On top of that, I have a real motivation to take care of children, make them laugh and feel happy, and who knows, maybe give some French lessons!
