Hobbies and Interests:
In my own time, I enjoy reading and going out, as this helps me to relax as part of having a good, balanced lifestyle. I enjoy looking after children which links to my work 8 and babysitting jobs.

Babysitting
I am currently looking after my friends and family’s children. I enjoy doing this and communicating with others. This involves me always being on time, completing tasks, such as putting the children to bed, feeding them and cleaning. These tasks help me to develop my timekeeping skills, communication skills and completing tasks.

Crag Bank Under 5’s Nursery – Carnforth
I completed 215 hours of work placement at this nursery. My duties and responsibilities involved setting the playroom up before the children arrived and getting the entire equipment ready, then tidying up and cleaning at the end of the day when the children had gone home. I communicated with the children and staff. I helped and support the children in play, at dinner time, outside and going to the toilet.

Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Primary School – Carnforth
I completed 215 hours at this placement. My duties and responsibilities involved, helping and support the children in play and work, communicating with staff and the children. Working in a team and support each other and sharing ideas. I planned different lessons with the other teachers. I encouraged the children to take new challenges and risks to gain confidence and independence. I differentiated tasks to meet the children’s needs and abilities so the task was not to hard or too easy for them and so I did not knock the child’s self-esteem and confidence.

Spotted Dog Nursery – Burton
I started working here in 2015. I currently work in the baby room full time. I support and encourage the children in all alreas. I also complete weekly planning for each child. I complete observations following the EYFS.
