Tallie, babysitting - NN8 Wellingborough

I am a fun loving individual who has a number of years experience working with children. I enjoy playing as much as they do.
I have 2 young cousins (8 and 4) who i have a assisted in helping out with childcare since they were born and lived with them last year to help part time with childcare (where I was the solely responsible person in the house).
I love playing board games, being outside and watching a good film! I think music should be accessible at all points and that children should know how to have fun without technology. I am a keen cook and reader - I think Julia Donaldson is wonderful.
I am not very good at talking myself up on paper (I forget important things), but I am happy to talk on the phone or in person and think you will find that I am passionate, hardworking and keen to lend my hand at something new.

I have been a freelance baby sitter since age 15, and have babysat for a number of families with varying needs.
I still provide occasional services to a single mother who says '[she] wouldn't have anyone else look after [her] son', and am free to lend a hand to my neighbors two young boys (4 & 18mths).
I have also taken care of a child who has special needs.
The age range of the children I have cared for starts at 4 months and reaches to 12 years.
I have taken on babysitting across a weekend when parents are away, for a full evening or day and shorter periods, i.e. for an hour.

I worked as a supervisor on a residential with a company called the Smallpiece trust, whereby I was the person in charge of 2 teams of 15. I had to ensure participants felt comfortable and deal with any worries or issues they might have with others on the course or the course content. This was a residential course so part of my role was to make sure the children went to bed on time and were awake on time and arrived at their classes. I also had to write a small report on their weekly activities for them to take home to parents.

I completed work experience in a nursery when aged 16, taught in a low level year 8 German class when I was 18 and volunteered with children in orphanages, hospitals and local schools in Marrakech July 2017 (this involved fund raising to get myself out there and take items over to the children.
