I have had a career in teaching and am now semi retired but still enjoy my work.

I have two children who I taught and nurtured throughout their lives and both have successfully attended University.
I tried to give them opportunity in a wide variety of experiences whilst at primary phase, enjoying music, swimming, guitar, violin, cooking, painting, netball, rugby and football.

I have taught at all key stages: swimming and. gymnastics whilst a Mum at home bringing up my children; Mathematics and P.E. with responsibility for SEN in the latter part of my career.

I have two brothers and one sister; it’s no surprise that I have seven nieces and nephews. I have been a very big part of the lives the above watching and encouraging them as they have all grown over 30 years.

At this point in my life, I still wish to be a part of my community and work with young and old, supporting, sharing my experiences and advising where appropriate.
I enjoy teaching and learning, am a calm and forgiving listener, keen to continue to work with young people and families.
I understand the impact of knowledge in relation to developing and supporting others.
I try to be intuitive, look for strategies to support children in their home and school life.

I look forward to meeting new families and their offspring in the hope that I can be a valued support and friend.
