Hello, my name is Anna, I am currently studying educational Psychology at edge hill university.
I am looking to be a childminder mid week (Tuesday-Wednesday) when I am off university and at the weekend. I am also available to work some evenings if needed throughout the week if notice is give!!
I've previously done a 2 week work experience placement in a nursery and enjoyed it very much! I also have a younger sibling and small cousins, so I have some first hand experience in looking after children.
I've listed some of qualities I think I have and what make a good child minder
Punctual and Reliable- I'm always early, to make sure everything is set up and in order so I can start whatever I am doing on time.
Active- I am a member at a gym, I think encouraging being active with children is very important to make sure they stay healthy and are able to develop new skills.
Experience- I have mentioned I have young family members I have looked after, also I have volunteer helping young people with additional needs (both mental and physical) so I understand and are able to adjust to these needs
Sensible- I understand about house rules, and making sure children follow whatever rules are set within that household.
Sensitive- I think I am a sensitive person, I am able to empathise with others and listen and understand problems they are having, this is key, making a connection with the children I am looking after so they can trust me.
Domestically Skilled- I can cook and clean, so need to worry about your little ones being at all hungry or dirty, I've got it covered!
