I have had a lot of experience working with children. When I was 15, I got my work experience certificate by volunteering in a local nursery, which involved working with 3 year olds. I loved doing this, so I decided to continue my work with children. This past summer I spent a lot of time babysitting a 6 month old, so I now have experience with babies and young children. I also currently work at St Ninians Out of School Care one afternoon a week, with children aged 5-11 and I have been there since January 2016. This experience has taught me how to interact with children of all different ages, how to help them play cooperatively and creatively and how to understand the needs of children at each developmental stage. This experience has also made me decide that I want to become a primary school teacher. I'm currently 20 years old and in my 3rd year of a Psychology degree at the University of Stirling, in which I will be focusing my dissertation on developmental psychology, as I feel like an understanding of how children develop will be really beneficial for any childcare role that I take on. I hope that all of this will make you feel that I am the right candidate to take care of your child and I hope to provide a caring and safe environment for their development in return!
I hope to hear from you! Many thanks,
Rebecca
