Danielle, child care in Anstey SG9

Danielle's extras

Presentation

Hello, my name is Danielle and I am 24 years. I am a friendly, proactive, enthusiastic and outgoing individual who loves working with children of all ages. I have gained experience working with children in both a paid, voluntary and family capacity which I really enjoy.

I currently work full time at a Primary School in Hertfordshire as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant. As part of my role I work with children aged four to seven in Key Stage One. I work on a daily basis with pupils who have various learning disabilities so I have gained experience and knowledge of how to work effectively with children who have special needs. Another key part of my role is to teach English interventions to pupils that English is their second language. I do this by assisting with the pupil’s development of learning and their understanding of the English Language. For my role I have to be understanding, self organised and manage my time effectively to ensure I am working to provide pupils with the best education possible and promote students’ self-esteem through positive activities.

I have been volunteering for the Girl Guides UK Charity since 2014, which I really enjoy. I volunteer with a Rainbow's Unit once a week and I am currently completing a Leadership Qualification so I can become a Rainbow's Unit Leader. Being a Trainee Leader is a hugely responsible role and while at the unit my aim is to supervise and plan fun activities for the Guides as i feel its important to provide actives that will help the girls to develop a sense of self, confidence and a can-do-attitude.

I do not currently hold any childcare qualifications however I am first aid trained, have knowledge of safeguarding and most importantly I have experience of working with children of all different ages. My experience ranges from working with young children within my family, to my volunteering role to my full time job role.

I am a very creative person and work well under pressure, having the ability to plan games and activities at last minute to keep children entertained. I love cooking and cake baking and hold a Level 3 NVQ Qualification in Professional Cookery - I regularly bake with the girls within my Rainbows Unit which is also great fun.

I also hold a Full UK Driving License and i am willing to drive to and from locations. For both my full time job and volunteering role I hold up-to-date DBS checks to allow me to work and supervise children and young adults.

If you would like any other information, please feel free to ask me.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Danielle
