Iqra, child care - BD1 Bradford

Hey, my name is iqra and I am 17 years old. I am a trustworthy babysitter with 2 years of experience looking after children on weekdays evening, weekend, during the school holiday. Effective at engaging them in an assortment of activities to meet their educational and physical needs, while always maintaining a vigilant eye on their health and safety. Endorsed by both sets of parents as a responsible, caring babysitter who gets out of the way to create a fun, safe and stimulating environment for their children.

My experience:
The Jones family- 2018
- Care for a boy and a girl, age 6 and 8, during parents’ scheduled absence in the evenings
- Ensure children are fed and in bed prior to parents’ return every evening
- Coordinate bedtime preparation- brushing teeth, face watching and going toilet.
- Play with children and read bedtimes stories, receiving requests from children every evening
- Clean and organised house whenever necessary, minimising parents clean up time upon their return home.

The Ail family- 2017
- Care for a 5-year-old on a weekday evening 5-9pm Monday and Thursday.
- Play in and outdoor activities before dinner
- Ensure the child is fed
- Coordinate bedtime preparation- brushing teeth, face washing and changing clothing tonight clothes.

Teaching at Midland Road Nursery school & children centre – 1 week June 2017
- Help children with activity and help children who struggle most in the classroom.
- Work alongside other staff and was ready to assist the teacher who I was shadowing.
- I was able to do the task independently such as planning activity for the children to do.
- A large part of the job was being punctual and following instructions that were set for me.
