Hello, my name is Sarah and I am a qualified teaching assistant working in a Gloucester infant school.
I am looking to be available for weekday evenings and occasional weekends from ages 1- 14.
I am a successful, innovative TA with an advanced CBS check and 4 years experience. I have worked with children in many age ranges with various learning difficulties and behavioural issues.
In my profession I have to have eyes at the back of my head and adapt to any situation. To care for children's emotional, educational and basic needs. Often, I teach on a 1-1 level to a group to a class of 30 every day so challenges and multi-tasking are no problem!
I grew up in a large family and have looked after young children all my life, in my experience I have devised several age appropriate and/or educational games, arts and crafts activities and story-telling. If a game isn't going so well I can make up a new, captivating game on the spot and know all the tricks to keep squabbling at bay. I also don't mind getting on my knees to building Lego models or dressing dolls either.
I am a kind, nurturing and fun old soul in a young body, looking forward to meeting to children in my care.
