My name is Phie. I am 17 years of age and will be turning 18 in November. I am happy to look after children from the age of 1 year to around 11years old. I have a younger brother and sister that I have helped look after since they were born. I am DBS cleared already for my college course. I am currently studying Health and Social Care at college and on a Wednesday I am on a placement at Columbus School looking after special needs children. This is my dream job and from a very young age I have wanted to work with children with special educational needs. Seeing the child face when they get something right just makes my world light up!
When I babysit for my brother and sister we read stories together, do colouring, play board games, I take them to the park and sometimes swimming.
I am honest, reliable and good with young children.
I love working with all sorts of children and love seeing how to help each individual.

Phie was a pupil in the year group I line managed. I also taught her maths leading up to her GCSE examination. She was really hard working and was always keen to improve, often putting in work beyond what was set. I also had the pleasure of visiting her whilst on work experience at a local school for pupils with special needs. She had been a real asset when there, dealing with a critical incident and impressing the team there. Phie had a rocky ride through school in terms of friendships, but she was a loyal friend within a small group. Phie's determination will set her up to do well in the path she chooses.
