Lauren, child care - M38 Little hulton

My name is Lauren, I am a fully qualified lecturer and have worked with children aged 15+ for the last 5 years. I have taught both mainstream learners and learners that have specific learning needs. I have taught a range of subjects over the years, these mainly focused on animal care. Most recently I have taught lessons in life skills, with added aspects of English and maths.

I am a happy and caring young woman who loves working with children of all ages, having gained experience from my friends and family's children. I have enjoyed watching them grow and helping them learn new skills in life.

Currently I enjoy spending time with my friends twin girls aged 5, they love playing school at the moment, learning how to spell and do maths. I feel it is important to embed education into play to help children grow and excel.

I particularly enjoy being outdoors looking at nature and sharing my knowledge about animals. I feel it is important to get children to play outside more rather than watching television or computer games. Allowing time to burn off any extra energy, whether this be at the local park, play gym or in the garden.

I love to cook and try new recipes, I try to eat as much fruit and vegetables as I can. Adding vegetables into pasta dishes for the extra nutrition and flavour. Cooking in different ways to change the taste or flavour of a food to make a dish better. I feel I am best at cooking main meals rather than deserts, however I can make simple fairy cakes and cookies.

I have been to princess tea parties, had my makeup and hair done, had nurf gun wars, played chase, build hot wheel tracks, wiped the tears and put plasters on the ouchies. All in a days fun of babysitting for my family and friends.

I have spent most of my life in some form of education and I love to learn, so If there is a specific skill, routine or meal your would like me to follow I am more than happy to learn.
