Katie, child care - NG14 Stoke bardolph

Hi, my name is Katie and I am looking to start babysitting in the local area. I have been a babysitter since the age of 15 (I am now 23). I have also had a year's worth of experience working in a primary school as a PE teacher. I am a very active and outgoing person. During my experience as a babysitter, I babysat a child who had ASD, requiring a high level of support. This was challenging at first, however, gave me valuable experience and confidence in my ability to babysit children with different needs.

I am a very understanding person and very caring. I don't think I would have been a PE teacher for my placement year if I was not passionate about children enjoying sports. However, if a child did not like sport, I would find out what else they are passionate about.

Having grown up with my mum being a Primary school teacher and childminder, I have always grown up in this environment. I have experience in playing games and activities with children, but changing them slightly depending on how old they are.
