Hi, am currently a 6th year pupil at Ayr Academy looking for a summer job and weekend job.

From an early age childcare has always been number one priority in my vision of the future. I consider myself as a hardworking individual who enjoys facing challenges and finding a professional way to deal with them. I enjoy listening to children and members of staff and take their thoughts into consideration. Listening to other members of staff and getting feedback helps me to learn by allowing me to understand what areas I need to improve. I feel that my good communication skills are very essential when working as a team especially when children are involved. I can also cope under pressure. I love trying new things. I follow instruction very well. I greatly enjoy working with children. I have a fast moving `can do` attitude.
Experience
Work Assistant - Childcare Practitoner March 2016 - March 2016

Busy Bees Nursery
In March 2016 I participated in the work experience programme from school. My work experience placement was within Busy Bees Nursery. At my placement I helped staff members with many different tasks and duties. In the morning I would help staff give breakfast to the children who were aged between 6 month to 5 years old. I supervised the children when they were having breakfast to make sure they had the best experience. After breakfast the children had some free play time. During this time I helped the children with paining, arts and crafts, playing with Play-Doh. After free play time the children had lunch. At lunchtime I helped set the tables for the children, I then helped serve lunch to the kids and supervised while they enjoyed their lunch. After lunch the children had another half hour playing time then it was nap time. At nap time I helped staff put the children to sleep. I assisted the children to the sleep room where the older children had a nap on mats and the babies had a nap in their cots. Throughout my week at Busy Bees I got to experience many different things. This experience encouraged me to pursue my dream of a career in childcare. I feel that the experience I gained throughout this week will make me a great candidate for this position and will allow me to demonstrate the skills I gained while gaining more.
