Gillian, childcare in Allanton

Hi my name is gillian. I am 25years. I am fun, an outgoing Individual, with a positive attitude and who has a passion for working with children. Since I was 17 I have had varies oppertunties in the childcare industry. I have worked as a childminder / nanny where I worked for a single mother and her 5 year old. My duties would include: dropping him off at school and picking him up at 3pm. Just on occasions I would stay overnight or a couple of nights per week helping out with the child's, bedtime and bathtime routine. I would make sure his homework was completed and he understood what he was doing. At the weekends I would plan activities such as going to the local library or park or the toy shops etc. I would also make his breakfast, dinner and supper. My other experiences are briefly working in a primary school as a classroom assistants, I would help child with their work if required and at intervals supervise the children in the playground. I have also worked in serval nurseries such as heritage house nursery, pollokshaws day nursery, kirktholme nursery. Recently I worked in Morningside primary school where I would go on school trips with the children, plan and carry out activities suitable for children's age and stage of development, have one to one time with children during class with class lesson to meets children's needs. I have also worked at st Aidens nursery class where I was working with the 2-3 and sometime the 3-5 where I would also plan activities, prepare the children's snacks, take the children on outings etc. This year I went to college and completed my NC qualification and I am looking to persue my career in what I love doing best and that is working with children.
