Shannon, childcare in Appleby-in-westmorland CA16

My name is Shannon, I am 18 years old and I live in a small town in Cumbria . I have just graduated from my local college in which I studied children’s care, learning and development at level 3.

I worked in my local town nursery in Cumbria for 2 years working with children between the ages of 3 months and 4 years working 10 hour days in the nursery and odd nights/ weekends babysitting outside of work.

I am looking to move to Preston and am seeking childcare work.

I am a reliable, honest and trust worthy person with a good sense of humour. I enjoy responsibility and I consider myself capable of working on my own and as a team member.

For 7 years I have been part of a freestyle dance school working both on my own and in a team performing all over the UK including our biggest competition in the winter garden ball rooms in Blackpool and have worked as a team and individually to win lots of trophies and awards.

I have taken part in our local carnival for 2 years in a row with the children and staff of my nursery (work place) working as a team to fit the criteria of the carnival theme. Working on ideas of how to dress our float and incorporating whole project into our days at nursery involving the children.

I have a current CRB check, paediatric first aid and am familiar with the EYFS as I have worked as a key worker in a previous nursery with a small group of children.
