Hello! I'm Sophie and i'm 18 years old. I have recently finished my college studies in Musical Theatre and Art A level. I've been lucky enough to be offered a place on an Acting degree in September so I'm hoping to raise some money to prepare myself for this.
I have been working at The Pauline Quirke Academy for over a year now and it has been a pleasure to assist children and watch them grow and develop there skills. I am a mentor to 30 students aged 8-12, having the chance help children develop and refine their abilities has been extremely rewarding for me and seeing them achieve main roles and being cast in industry jobs has given me the reassurance that the time I devote as a mentor is achieving results.
I volunteered to become a qualified emergency first aider and am now the first point of contact for any issues. I am DBS checked.
PQA has been a great opportunity to gain a larger sense of responsibility and understanding of the safety of children as well as their individual needs. It was part of my job role to write detailed reports on each student.
I also am the oldest of a big family with many cousins and have grown up looking after them so have learnt a sense of responsibility from an early age.
As a child carer I would take pleasure in organising fun activities for your child to do. I have high level of fitness and love to play sports and dance. As I have done art A level it would be great to create fun mini projects such as rock painting or paper mache balloons! I could also help your children with any homework as I achieved grade B's in English, Maths and Science at GCSE.
