I am a trustworthy, punctual and also a quick female learner aged 18 from Bournemouth. I aspire to be a primary school teacher, and therefore love working with children. I can work unsupervised, with a team or in collaboration with other members of staff. I am polite, organised, and creative. I have good communicational skills from learning through past work experience, and therefore can communicate well with individuals; especially with children due to having a large amount of work experience within this area. I have just finished my a-level studies at St. Peters School. I studied health and social care (double award), and also psychology. I achieved 10 GSCE's at grades A-C, and I am also awaiting my a-level results which I have been predicted to achieve AAB, due to achieving AACC at AS level.
Health and social care provided me with lots of experience with a number of different age groups. When at sixth form, every Thursday, I volunteered at the local primary school which gave me a lot of valuable experience working with a number of different children. I worked with a number of children ages 4-11, in a number of 30 per class, which can be very demanding at times. As part of my role I supported the children in their work giving them the support and attention they required. The role also involved working with a number of teachers and teaching assistants, due to this I ensure that my communicational skills are brilliant at all times, to ensure both the teachers and children gain the support in which they require. I developed relationships with the children and appreciated all children require different approaches. I appreciated the need to be both patient and cheerful with the children. I am sure that responding to the individual would be a key skill within babysitting.
I am also a creative individual, due to studying art and textiles at GSCE level, and continuing textiles into AS level. Therefore I love setting up creative activities, which I am sure would be lovely activity for children. When at St. Peters I also volunteered at the Merick Rise Care Home where I set up creative activities for the residents and therefore have experience in this sector.
