Hi, my name is Isobel but everyone calls me Izzie.
I'm an outgoing, hardworking, honest individual who loves working with children. I would love the chance to work as a nanny because I find it rewarding to help others and I have a passion to care for children.
I'm currently working as a domiciliary care co-ordinator which involves organising rotas and providing home care for adults. Previous to this, I was training to become a children's nurse and gained valuable experience at Great Ormond Street Hospital. However, I found myself in some very difficult and distressing situations trying to care for children in the hospital setting so I decided this environment wasn't appropriate/suitable for me. In the past I have baby-sat for friends and family and I have worked as a child care assistant at a holiday club for a primary school. During my time at sixth form I achieved three As in my Level 3 CACHE Diploma in Child Care and Education and gained essential skills and knowledge in a wide variety of child care settings including schools, nurseries, a baby unit and a special educational needs school.
I love wing creative and planning activites such as baking, messy play and role play but I also enjoy being outdoors where you can have bear hunts, nature trails and plant seeds. In the experience I've gained, I've learnt how to treat every child as an individual and take a holistic approach to their care. Therefore, I feel its really important to plan activities to promote a child's development whilst they're doing something that they enjoy. If you think I could help, then I would seize the opportunity to work with your family.
My other attributes include: non-smoker, clean, full driving license, car owner, 12 GCSEs B grade and above, PEG training
