Tara, childcare - BL8 Tottington

I am a 17 year old girl, who takes joy in taking care of children. I am a playful, bubbly, funny and a well educated girl who has good experience with children. I have grown up babysitting cousins and neighbours children, and since I was 13, I've worked at a summer day care voluntarily. The money is never a huge part of babysitting, its the joy you get from it. I am currently a student at Bury College doing Performing Arts, but anytime I am not in college can happily be spent babysitting. The most conviniant times to babysit, for me, would be evenings/night times, anytime on the weekends and occasionally the afternoons weekday.

I am a happy, friendly girl and I am very serious about my babysitting. I have several different activities and games which i play with the children, which are educational and productive without them realising so.
This usually involves finding fun ways for them to do their homework, or tidy their room etc.

I often get told that my age makes it harder to succeed in getting a job as a babysitter, but I think being younger is a little better.
As I left high school within the last couple of years, my knowledge with Maths and English, and many other subjects, is very good, and helping to educate the children and provide help with homework would come easy to me. I have also been a tutor to younger children in the past, so I know how to teach children basic subjects so they will remember.
My age also makes the children feel a little more comfortable in my presence. I am quite a warm and kind person, and I tend to connect with children rather quickly. I know what TV shows they like, I know how to work and play all of the latest electronics, and I think this is a good way to bond with the children.
