Katy, childcare - BN2 Brighton

Hi, I'm Katy and would love to look after your lovely kiddies! I am only 18 but have a lot of childcare experience and, due to my mum being a full-time childminder, I am constantly surrounded by children and think they're fab! I would love to be a nanny full- or part-time, preferably to 0-7-year-olds.

I am happy to care for babies and children who are not yet at school, drop-off and pick-up of school-age children, help with homework, household chores and preparation of simple meals.

I have just returned from Spain where I au paired for 3 months, firstly with an 11-year-old Spanish girl and secondly a 7-year-old American girl, and it was a brilliant, although challenging, experience. It really opened my eyes to the world and gave me so much confidence! With the older girl I enjoyed chatting and playing board and card games and FIFA on the Wii. With the younger girl I loved playing with her 'Littlest Pet Shop' toys and Polly Pocket, hide-and-seek, 'It' (tag) and dancing madly round the living room.

Before moving to Spain I assisted a childminder over the summer, caring for children between the ages of 0 and 4, as well as helping my mum, soothing crying babies, playing with the children and giving lots of cuddles! At college I studied Health and Social Care and for this had to do a placement at a nursery which was very enjoyable. During school I volunteered at a creative charity business, designing and making costumes for events such as the Children's Parade, and helping run children's workshops at the Marina. I have also been a kitchen porter and cleaner so am used to keeping everything spick and span!

In my free time I enjoy meeting up with friends, yoga, cycling, reading and camping.
