Kirsty, childcare in Broadstairs

Hi Families,

I am a recent Biology graduate returned from a year's travelling and looking for work. I have had some experience working with children which I really enjoyed and since returning from my travels I would like to continue with this.

For a duration of 6 months from January to July this year I worked as an au pair in Sydney, Australia for two gorgeous children and their cousins aged 9, 7, 5 and 3. I also done some extra nannying on weekends for a family with 3 children aged 3, 5 and 6.

My main responsibilities included getting the children ready for school and driving them to school, making their lunches and packing their school bags, dressing them and making their breakfast if they needed help. I also did housework and dog walking during the day before picking them up from school, taking them to after school activities and preparing dinner before helping with homework and bed time routine in the evenings.

On the weekends I mainly supervised the children playing and took them to the park or the beach with some snacks to burn off some energy.

In addition to the above, my teenage job which i held for 9 years was at a children's play centre where i hosted children's parties for a number of years before progressing onto other roles in the business. I loved getting involved with Christmas and Halloween parties, dressing up and playing games.

As a person I am fun and outgoing but also firm when needed. I am happy to apply to your rules (for example my old family in Sydney had the rule of no TV in the week) and integrate as you would like into family life. I am a keen swimmer and coach swimming so am responsible with children in the water.

At the moment I am looking for part time work or babysitting jobs.
