Rowena, childcare - BS37 Yate

I am hardworking, caring, helpful, thoughtful, considerate, friendly and reliable. I work well independently and as part of a team, ensuring that I am always working to the best of my ability. Constantly striving to push myself. I am able to continue working efficiently under pressure with a smile on my face.

I have work experience in a pre-school, where I prepared their morning snack and their play activities for the day. I have recently gained experience at a children’s club, working with children aged 4-11 years where I prepared activities, ensured safety and the welfare of all children and recorded and reported accidents. I also answered the telephone in a professional manner and dealt with the receiving of payments, which I logged into the books. I have written up risk assessments for out door activities and have taken action where risks have been identified, supervised by my manager. I also have experience writing EYFS play plans for the children under the age of 5. Also as part of the job I helped children with their emotional problems due to issues with the family home breaking down and children with learning difficulties and behavioural problems. This also involved supporting the parents and keeping them updated on how their child was coping. I also logged all of this information given to me, in our work diary. I helped the manager with the registers for the month a head and organised staff ratios for term time and for holiday club. I am currently doing agency work for Eyears LTD working in nursery's and schools around the Bristol area. I find helping children very rewarding and enjoy helping them shape a more positive future for themselves, whilst creating good self-esteem and confidence within them. I

I have two nephews who are 2 and 4 years old. I have babysat him from birth. I can change nappies, bath a baby, dress them and also feed them.
