Hello! I'm Lukishia and I am 18 years of age. I have 8 GCSES grades A-C including Child Development. I also have 3 A Levels. I am currently working at a nursery, and have worked there for nearly 7 months, specifically with babies from 3 months, to children up to 2 and a half years, I am working towards my NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, and I was allowed to skip past my Level 2 because of the experience I have had in working with children, and also because I have A Levels. My 15 year old brother is mildly autistic and also has Epilepsy, over the years (since the age of 6) I've learned how to deal with an epileptic fit, and call an ambulance personally in an emergency. Over more recent years, I've stayed home to care for him while my parents have had to work, helped him with his homework to my best ability, made his lunches, made him breakfast, although unfortunately my cooking skills are not the best. When he was younger I'd take him to the park, play games with him, sing with him, ride his scooter with him, but in recent years I've left him to it a little more and checked up on him during the day. I have an 18 year old cousin with ADHD who I have been close with my whole life, therefore I know what ADHD is, how it works, and for the most part how to handle it. I have always been into performing arts, I sing, dance and act. I helped teach dance to 6-7 year olds, specifically Jazz, although I have danced ballet and tap also since the age of three. I was also training to be a young leader at a brownie unit, but left to focus on my exams at the time. The children were between the ages 6-8. I love reading stories, going outdoors, arts and crafts, and also chilling on the sofa watching a movie. At the moment I am looking at babysitting on a few evenings and weekends, but after I finish my NVQ I will start looking for full time jobs in being a nanny. I have always babysat my 7 young cousins and have loved every second of it!
Occasional babysitting | $7.50 per hour |
I am not yet fully qualified so therefore I don't think it's fair to charge anymore than £7.50.
