Shelbi, childcare in Chatham

I was a Nursery Worker at HoneyPot Day Nursery, for my work experience.

I spent one week at this fast paced nursery during my work experience placement. I was placed with the young babies and toddlers, which were aged between 0 and 5. For the first four days I was with the younger group and worked on encouraging them to walk and talk. During this time I also took on responsibilites such as meeting and greeting parents and other visitors in the reception area, whilst adhering to security and data protection rules. On the final day of my placement I was group with the older children aged from 3-5 years. This day focused on following and implementing early years foundation skills, curriculum, tidying of work enviroment and interacting with the children including constructive play and speech encouragement.

I show dedication, commitment and drive in all I do having just completed 9 GCSE examinations with predicted grades ranging from A*- C. I will be attending college on a full time basis and therefore I am seeking a part time position, with the opportunity to work additional hours during end of term breaks.

I have also had family experience with helping to raise my 4 younger sisters ages 9-15, I also help my older siblings to look and mind their children (my nieces and nephews).

I have also looked after children from neighbours, to friends of the family.
