Hi my name's Matthew , I'm a student and now I'm back home for summer. I'm looking to babysit as much as possible and I have plenty of experience with children as I have 2 siblings, one of which has autism whom a regularly look after on a weekly basis when my parents are both working. Typical things I have to do would be: ensure they go to bed on time, help and ensure they do their homework, help them with any needs they have, cook or make them snacks when required. These kinds of tasks require good organisation and time management, skills that I have thoroughly developed during my time at university with frequent deadlines to meet.
I am very friendly and patient as well as understanding the needs of the children through growing up with my siblings. These are very important attributes I believe in order to be a good childcarer. An example of where I demonstrated these 2 skills was on my last job the previous summer, I was helping a new colleague use a computer program which took a lot of time initially, and then I decided to approach my project manager in a friendly manner offering to stop my current task and just sit with the new colleague which the manager took very well to.
I am a good cooker and very punctual as demonstrated through my last job the previous summer.
