Kayleigh, childcare - DL3 Darlington

I am 18 years old, currently studying level 3 BTEC extended diploma in health and social care. In my past job I cared for 2 Chinese young girls aged 3 and 5. I have had experience of working with children younger and older due to placements that are compulsory to my course. I am willing to work any hours as long as they don't interrupt my learning. I enjoy watching movies and occasionally going swimming. Caring for the two young girls, I have gained many skills, one of my strong skills would be communication, communicating with the girls was challenging at first because their first language is Chinese. Once they learnt some English it was a lot easier too communicate with them and a lot easier to understand them. I cared for them 5pm till midnight, 6 nights a week. whilst caring for the children I took on challenges such as personal care which including toileting them and showering them before bed.
