Why pay for a professional when you can get an even better deal with someone who has years of experience with children. I raised my own child on my own. I looked after my niece and nephew for years when my sister went back to work, then when I went back to work I would take the kids to school and my sister would pick them up after school while I was at work. I have done childminding for a woman who had 2 young kids and a teenager with disabilities who couldn't walk but had the most amazing intelligence and sense of humor, I adored them but sadly I was taken advantage of with regards to paying me and had no choice but to stop sitting for her. I was a lunchtime supervisor for 7 years in a primary school. I was responsible for around 30 children assisting with them in the dinner hall. Ensuring the safety and well-being of the kids in the playground. I have done several courses in child protection and safe guarding. I am a very trusting person and help anyone that needs it. I have lots of previous dbs certificates but none the past 2 years since leaving and I would have no problem with anyone checking the dbs record for piece of mind. I was also an assistant manager in the after school club. I would collect the children from their classrooms, take them to the clubs they had that day, bring children to the after school club where we played games, drawing and colouring, reading books etc. For 3 and a half years I have also been doing cleaning for people in their homes and built up a very trusting relationship. I started cleaning for a mother and son and soon after I started doing their shopping and cooking. Sadly the lady passed away January 2015. I then became very close to the gent who lived alone and became reliant on me to look after his well-being as he didn't trust easily. I was also his agent for his post office account and would take his benefits out and pay his bills as he was disabled and couldn't walk. He sadly passed away April 2016 which had a big impact on me and I've felt very lost without him, I was with him right up until the end. I clean for an elderly woman who recently asked me to assist her 3 mornings a week to wash/shower, dress. I have a very good relationship with her and her family who live there, so to be trusted means a great deal to me.
