Hi! My name is Rebecca and I am a student from Edinburgh. I am currently studying BSc (Hons) Speech and Language Therapy at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.
I am looking for babysitting/childminder work and have a lot of experience working with children, including those with additional support needs. Through my university life I have worked on two paediatric learning disability placements and a range of placements in schools and nurseries. I also have experience working at summer childcare programmes.
I am a kind natured, caring individual with an energetic and creative personality. I love children of all ages and feel I am able to provide a fun environment for children while developing their skills and helping them learn. I am very active and have spent the last five years teaching a range of sports to children such as sailing, paddle-boarding and cheerleading. I also play the saxophone and flute. I am used to thinking on my feet and keeping children entertained.
Throughout my university life I have been very involved with the union as I am very social and my biggest achievement to date is becoming president of our university cheerleading team. Prior to this I was treasurer for three years which developed my organisational skills and social skills with other teams and management within the union. After being voted president by my fellow team members I became a leader of 80+ students and worked tirelessly to grow our society status. Cheer has taught me patience, perseverance organisation and responsibility which I feel are all applicable to this role.
I hold a full driving license and am available to work flexible hours.
