I first began as a Nursery Nurse, after supporting a senior member of staff in thier role. I then became a Team leader myself within the 2-3yr old room. I spent 4 years within the base room, when I was provided with the opportunity to become Deputy Manager. I supported the Nursery Manager with the day to day running of the setting, working alongside the staff to ensure a safe, fun and happy place for the children to learn. My Manager soon fell pregnant, which was when I was then asked to step up as Acting Manager. Once my Manager returned I was given a role as community manager as the setting capacity had increased. We had several refurbishments during that year, my role as Community Manager is to advertise and promote the setting, work with parents and families to support themselves and thier child during the transition between home and Nursery. I also organise stay and play sessions at the setting, Makaton training for parents inside and outside of the Nursery, musical movement sessions, baby yoga and massage. Alongside this I regularly babysit/nanny for families I have met over the years ranging from ages 1-13 yrs. I enjoy doing both as this means I am able to continue in my passion for childcare, as well as meeting lots of new faces and supporting families. I am hoping to find a family that I can support and help full time within thier daily routine of work, school, childcare etc. I drive and have my own vehicle so I am able to take the children out during the day or possible pick ups and drop off's to school.
