Lauren, childcare in Hertford heath SG13

Hello, my name is Lauren I'm 28 years old working as a nanny in a Hertford.

I am currently looking for full time/long term work as a nanny. I got qualified as a childcare professional in August of 2007. I got my first job Working as a nursery nurse in a private school setting for 3 years and during that time I ran 2 summer clubs, set up by myself and also set up the after school club from scratch. Helped out parents with school runs, I also have done some one to one with a child who had behavioural issues which was ahi challenge but loved every min if it. I did a lot of babysitting for the families at this school during the wkends and holidays which I still do now and want to continue to do for the future.

Having felt I got all the experience I needed from this setting I needed a new change and a different avenue of work. I then got into nannying the Easter of 2011 but only took on a temp job to make sure this is something I wanted to do seriously. I LOVED this experience I got with this family and was gutted when the old nanny came back from maternity. I then went onto nannying a family for all of 2012, loved the position there was really happy, not looking for work but a great job opportunity came my way which was much closer to where I lived, longer hours and more money and felt as though I needed to take it than decline. I started there jan 2013 and I'm still there now. My hours were 7:30 to 7:30 Monday to Thursday, long hours I know but once you get into a routine, plan lots of fun stimulating activities the day does soon whiz by!
From sept 2013 to present both the boys I look after go to school full time. I didn't want to leave this family as we all get on great and bond really well and I don't think they wanted me to go either. So I currently do 7:30am to 11:00am and then 3:00pm until 7:30 pm mon to yours with Fridays off, then full time during school holidays. This set up has worked for a while but feel ready for a new challenge with a different family to extend my knowledge and gain new skills!
