Joanne was initially employed at Queens Road Neighbourhood Centre, Bootle, as a child care worker within our pre-school nursery and after-school club and helped out on holiday play schemes. Whilst employed with us Joanne was supported to obtain her NVQ Child Care & Workforce Development level 3. Joanne was able to build positive working relationships with colleagues, parents and the children in her care. When we lost our core funding from Sefton Council in April 2012, our child care staff were made redundant and our Centre was forced to restructure and offer different family support services. Despite this, Joanne continued to support the Centre with occasional voluntary & sessional work, until re-joining as an Admin & Support Worker whilst studying for her level 2 in Business Administration. I can recommend Joanne as she is dedicated and hard working.
