Hi, my name is Toni and I am 18 Years old. I am looking for some experience and extra responsibilities as a childcarer. I have already gained experience working with children as I have worked with a couple of classes of children in a local primary school as part of a volunteer work placement for the last two years. I have enjoyed the time I have spent with the Army Cadets of Cumbria which I have been involved with since the early age of 12. The Army cadets are based upon determination, resilience, discipline, respect, integrity and loyalty. I am very fortunate as to have adopted these qualities and skills at such a young age and have been able to develop upon them through my academic progression. NCS has been another volunteer program that I am very pleased to have completed in the summer of 2015. At school I do health and social care which is a constant reminder of all the different skills, legislation and ideas I should be looking at and taking into consideration when delivering quality care to both children and more vulnerable adults. To further my education I am looking into becoming a primary school teaching assistant in the very close future as I have received recommendations from senior members of staff to put forward for this. My qualities come with me wherever I go, for example, the skills I have learned in cadets and in my primary school volunteer placement have taught me that I am a very generous person with my time and I enjoy to give a lot back to the community. The skills in my work show off when I communicate to both parents and children. From working closely in small groups of children based in the classroom to going on school trips. I have been given numerous amounts of tasks, which came with responsibilities and I have always pulled through and shown them that they were right to trust me.
Occasional babysitting | $7.50 per hour |
Partial / after-school care | $6.70 per hour |
Due to the experience I have held working in school, I wouldn't mind brining along some ideas on games that parents could play and ideas that can be fun for the family (in their own free time). This can be beneficial to the child's own education and helping them to build skills to keep on top of school work.
