I am at present in the process of moving to Chelmsford and I shall be looking for a position in the local area.
Personal Statement -
I am a highly-skilled early years worker with 14 years of experience working in various early years settings, i have specialized in family support and special needs for the last 8 years, working closely and patiently with children who need a little extra care and their siblings.. I hold a level 2 & 3 childcare qualification.
I work well as part of a team and and indipendently and have a proactive approach to work; I am a creative, approachable and warm person with a good sense of humour.
I am very familiar with using the EYFS Framework and have even used adapted versions when planning for children who have additional needs and disabilities. i have lots of experience with newborns right through to 11 but have spent most of my career with the under 5's.
I enjoy encouraging children to feel excited about learning the skills that will carry them through early life. I aim to teach children in a way that engages their interests and stimulates their own thinking.
I am very positive towards the children and give lots of praise. I also understand that appropriate boundaries are very important and I can be firm when necessary. I believe every child should feel safe, loved and valued while away from their parents. I aim to help the children in my care feel safe and secure.
I welcome training and opportunities enabling me to preform to the best of my ability and further my career.
I take pride in all aspects of my job from caring for the children to ensuring that the environment is safe and clean. The thing I enjoy most about childcare is building strong bonds with both the child and their family, working in partnership to best support the child’s development. making positive memories.
