Stephanie, childcare in Dundee

My name is Steph and I am 28 years old and I live in Dundee, where I have lived my whole life.

I studied NC and HNC Early Education and Childcare at Dundee College and have been qualified since 2012. I am also a member of the PVG scheme.

I have a full clean UK driving license which I passed in January 2007 and I own my own car so transport to and from jobs would not pose me any problems.

I had a work experience in Buttons and Bows nursery whilst studying my NC in 2009/2010.

I have worked with children in a voluntary capacity where I gained a sports leadership award. I was required to put together and carry out coaching sessions for selected sports. I also done a placement with a dance group named Funky Feet in Dundee where I had to help them practice routines and help with their show in the Caird Hall.

I worked for Dundee International Womans Centre within Rise and Shine Crèche. I worked there for 3 years. I started off as a practitioner and was promoted to childcare supervisor. They ran an in house and mobile creches throughout Dundee and the wider area.

I am currently working for Action for Children as a young persons support worker, I have been working here since 2014. I work with a number of young people on a one to one basis to help them become more independent and gain the skills needed to maintain and sustain a tenancy in the community.

I would like to take a new direction and believe I would be a valuable addition to the right family, all I ask is for the opportunity to prove this to you.
