Katrina, childcare in Durrington SP4

Hello :)

My name is Katrina and I have a big passion for caring for children, as well as having fun and helping them to learn!
I have a degree in social work and have hence been DBS checked and cleared - can provide evidence of this if required. I am honest, caring, sensible and have excellent communication skills.

I am currently volunteering as a teaching assistant in a secondary school with children aged 11-16, and I also volunteer at a youth club twice a week, providing young people (aged 11-19) with a safe and welcoming place to call their own.

Through my experiences, I have been able to learn about the importance of working alone and working as part of a team, including being a play worker assistant, nursery assistant and library assistant. In-between these volunteer roles, I have also carried out paid-roles within children settings, including being a lifeguard, a swim teacher and cabin counsellor, the latter of which occurred as part of a USA Summer camp for two months in 2013.
