Tanit, childcare in Edinburgh

Hello family and kids!

I am Tanit, an English teacher that moved to Edinburgh to keep improving my English skills. Despite I degreed on Translation, I have worked as an English teacher in a language school. I have a great experience with kids: I started volunteering on a social centre as free-time monitor. There, we spent time with kids and teenagers doing several out-door activities, playing and learning the most important life values. through games and hand-crafts. I worked there for 4 years until, unfortunately, the centre closed. I have also been TEACHING ENGLISH at full immersion summer camps for the last 8 years. There, I taught English through games, song and outdoor activities, to kids and teenagers. After I got my degree, I moved to Dublin where I worked as an AuPair, taking care of two gorgeous girls aged 3 and 7.
I like spending my time with kids, as they are always curious and willing to learn aspects of life that for adults are sometimes forgotten. I always try to transmit important values, such as tolerance, sharing, non-discrimination and freethinking. I love preparing activities, games and hand-crafts to introduce those values and knowledge. Family has taught me that helping others is one of the most important values. Treat others as you'd like to be treated. Share, learn and live through others advices, opinions and virtues. And try to live the same way.
