Hello my name is Sarah, I have just qualified as a paediatric nurse to further my career in what I love doing.. Working with children. But I really miss actually spending quality time with the children, teaching them, exploring different activities, and having fun!
I hold a CACHE level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education and hold a full clean driving licence and do not smoke.
I am looking for weekdays as a live out Nanny, I can do evenings and weekend babysitting. I am quite flexible with hours and I'm available during holidays.
I have worked at a holiday scheme for disabled children called HOPS for five years, I started off as a volunteer then went on to become play leader. I really enjoyed working with the children here. I have experienced dealing with children with a wide range of disabilities. I enabled children with learning and physical difficulties to play, and have fun. I helped them to explore different activities and helped to keep them safe. As a play leader I was also in charge of personal care, food, medication and paper work in addition to organising activities.
For my work experience I chose to work at a Primary School. I worked with children from the age of four to nine. I helped them with their reading and maths. I supervised a group of children in learning dances too.
I have 8 nieces and 2 nephews which I have had a great deal of experience in dealing with them all since birth. As they live locally I am able to see them all regularly.
I studied childcare and education CACHE level 3 at college for two years and from there I worked in a nursery in my village.
I moved to Germany in 2010 and worked as an au-pair for seven months looking after two children at the age of two and seven. Here my job role was looking after them, cleaning, washing, ironing, assisting the mother and running errands.
When I moved back I was able to continue my job at the nursery as a nursery practitioner, there I worked in the eldest room looking after children from the age of three to four and up to eight when the after school children attend. Ten of those children were my key children, in which I worked with the curriculum creating activities to help with their development and skills.
My latest job was nannying for a local family working with three children aged five, four and new born. This has been a fantastic job with a wonderful family. My job roles included; school and activities runs, I started first thing in the morning until bed which was a great way to really bond with the family, I helped with feeds and changes with the new born. Washing, home work, reading, cooking, baking, arts, you name it we did it!
I have had lots of different experiences with many ages which is a great fun for me!
