Renee, childcare in Glasgow

My name is Renée and I will be moving to Glasgow in August 2015 from Canada. I will be living in the West End. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Psychology in the spring of 2014, and have just spent a year living and working for a Non-Profit Organization in Nicaragua.

I am looking for full-time work as a childcare provider. I have lots of experience minding children between the ages of 4 months and 14 years - I worked as one family of six's main childcare provider for 4 summers in a row. I also have experience working as an overnight camp counsellor, day camp counsellor, volunteering as a "buddy" for children with special needs, and as a high school tutor. For these roles, I have received "High Five" certification in children's recreation and sport, as well as completing other training modules related to child development, program facilitation and safety.

In the future, I plan to pursue a degree in education. I am a very high-energy and positive person, and enjoy engaging with children in a way that encourages their learning and development.
