Kate, childcare in Harmston

I am a qualified level 3 Childcare Worker after having recently studying the CACHE Level 3 Diploma for The Children and Young People's Workforce. I completed a BTEC Level 2 in Health and Social Care and an NVQ Level 2 in Childcare, Learning and Development at Lincoln College. I spent 5 and 1/2 years working as a Play-worker Assistant at First Timer’s Pre-School based in Wellingore before moving onto working as a childminders assistant, feeling as though it is time for me to expand on my experience and learn some new skills.

In the past I have worked with many different organisations ranging from the elderly, to young children in order to discover the age group I would be more comfortable working with. During my work experience placements from North Kesteven School and Lincoln College, I worked as a classroom assistant at The Old Station Nursery in Waddington with children aged 3 and 4. I have also worked at Age Concern in Lincoln and a residential home in Navenby. Out of these different age groups, I found it more interesting and rewarding to work with children.
