I am a 55-year old mother of two children, a daughter aged 19 (now studying away) and a son aged 17 (still at home). I brought the children up on my own as unfortunately I got divorced when the children were little.
At the moment I am working for a family supermarket as an early-morning online order picker, but I would very much like a change.
Ideally, I would like to work with children during the day - e.g. escorting to/from school and care at children's house. However, I am happy to do some evening and weekend work too.
The experience of being a lone parent taught me a lot about time management and juggling different tasks. I always try to listen and engage with children as much as possible.
I enjoy cooking with children, and all the usual games and activities from feeding the ducks in the park to Snakes and Ladders at home.
